Honeybees and the Healing Arts
Honeybees are natural healers. Learn about the role Honeybees play in the healing arts, including herbalism, apitherapy (bee-sting therapy), and social/mental health.
Honeybee Wisdom for Social Justice and Social Change
Honeybees work together as a hive to survive. Learn about their social structures and habits and how we can apply them to our human projects. Hear from folks who are using beekeeping as a way to revitalize and heal their own communities.
Bee Ecology and Climate Change Action
Bee-come informed on climate change through the lens of beekeeping. Understand the honeybee’s ecological roles and gain practical tools you can apply to help turn the tides of global warming (even if you’re not a beekeeper!).
Art of the Hive
Artists and creatives have been inspired by honeybees for millennia. Learn about bee-centric art, how it’s educating the public and how it can inform your own creative process. Learn about simple honeybee crafts such as beeswax candle making!
Natural Beekeeping 101
Interested in becoming a beekeeper? This summit will give you access to well-respected experts in natural beekeeping, including tips for getting started at home and resources for longer course opportunities.

All sessions occurred live on March 22-24, 2020, and are now available as recordings to watch at your leisure. This event was originally a fundraiser; your ticket price for the recordings now supports The EcoSpiritual Education Center, LLC to maintain its availability and plan future events.
Your Instructor
Jeanell is the founder and CEO of The EcoSpiritual Education Center, LLC. She holds a Master of Arts in Process Oriented Facilitation and Conflict Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, and is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Horticultural Therapy Certificate student, and Certified Permaculture and Ecovillage Designer (with awareness of the equity issues inherent in the Permaculture lineage).
For the past 25 year she has been recording her dreams, studying body and earth based spirituality, and riding a wild wind on a epic journey to connect with other awakening humans and beings.
Jeanell is eternally grateful to her ancestors who hail from the Pale of Settlement, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, France, and Spain, to her ancestors of affinity, and to the ancestors and spirits of the land where she was raised in Houston, TX and where she currently resides in the unceded territory of the Chinook tribes of the Pacific Northwest.
She works to create a socially just and welcome space in her classes, workshops, and sessions, where people of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and gender and sexual identifications, can come to exchange wisdom. She personally identifies as a cis-gendered, mostly straight woman of Ashkenazi Jewish and British Isles background. She is always on a path of learning and growing. She loves mushroom tea.
